How to download and play games on Steam simultaneously.
Steam is the most popular game client on PCs, and its newest feature, quietly released in November, is called Remote Play Together. It lets people play local multiplayer games over the internet.

I am pretty sure you can not play two games at the same time on two different computers. But you can have Steam on many computers. Just not log in on all at the same time :p The thing you could do, depends on your daughters age of course, is that she creates her own account, and you could pay and gift her the games she wants to her account.

That's what I'm doing actually: I'm using my mac ot play offline solo games while my friends can use my main PC at the same time to play online games. Just has to start steam while the rig is disconnected from the network, start it on offline mode, and off you go.

Does Steam allow you to play DIFFERENT games at the same time while using Family Sharing? If not, why haven't Steam implemented this? If I give a hard copy DVD game to my brother, it doesn't stop me from playing other games I own.

Since Steam Family Sharing has been released, it is now possible to log in from two different computers to the same account simultaneously, and play different games on these computer. No special configuration is needed (at least for users logged into the Steam Beta).
